It’s hot outside. Like, really really hot. I’ve found the simplest solution in this sweet little studio in the heart of Midland, TX. This family requested to shoot here and I was eager to agree! I’d been eyeing this space for some time and was excited for the opportunity to try it out! Let’s just say, I’m hooked! Meet your newest Midland studio photographer!

The beautiful light it boasts any time of day paired with the various seating options, live plants, and mobile backdrop make this a great option for just about any photo session. This session in particular made the most of the beauty this space offers! Nothing to distract you from the sweetness between the people in front of the camera. What more could a photographer ask?!

When working in a space so neutral, your subjects are really given the chance to be the focus. That’s exactly the goal of a family session. Your eye goes immediately to the joy on these adorable faces! Mind you, a perfectly selected wardrobe helps!

I adore the simplicity of this family’s outfits! Each individual has something special on and yet nothing is overwhelming or distracting from the purpose of the images. Talk about goals!! And can we just appreciate the fact that jackets and pants were not an issue for this summer session because AC baby! Oh yeah! The perks of shooting in studio!

My entire career, I’ve always preferred shooting in outdoor spaces. While I still do love to work outside, it sure is nice to have such a fantastic option for indoor sessions. West Texas weather is no joke and it is just so nice to know that it won’t be an issue in this setting. I still get to use natural light, my fav! I also get to give my clients a distraction free experience with no cars passing by, airplanes overhead, or bugs! That’s a story for another time!
